Early summer garden update

- tomato plants are taller than me and flowering prolifically but I'm not sure if they're setting fruit yet

- zucchini (a variety called tromboncino) are set to take over the washing line this year; about time they had a turn as previously the washing line has been colonised by spaghetti squash and pumpkins

- flowers everywhere: chamomile, calendula, oregano, marjoram, strawberries, hyssop (first time flowering!), parsley, coriander

- corn seems to have set??

- there is ONE fig on my baby fig tree

- pumpkin plants not setting fruit yet but it's early days, they're still very small

- sunflowers will be opening soon; I should plant more

- capsicum plants ready to set out in the bed

- none of my chilli seeds have germinated I will need to keep trying (or maybe just buy some seedlings this year)

- purple basil is sprouting, vietnamese and regular basil are starting to take off

- I forgot to get any amaranth like I have room for it anyway lmao

- I need to get some lettuce/rocket seeds in, I don't have any salad greens

- FUCKING CATERPILLARS

- praying mantises like bronze fennel

- needs more cornflowers

This sounds so lovely! Over here I've prepared all the balcony plants die winter and just turned the last of the oregano and rosemary into herbal oil and salt.

Sounds gorgeous! I have garden envy! And yeah, chile pants are challenging. My dad can get them to grow just fine but I can't at all.

Yeah I've been having trouble all the way around with my chilli plants at school and at home... my capsicum (sweet peppers) eventually took off and I'll be planting them out soon though, so that's something... but why there should be a difference I have NO idea
