In honour of me not having a clue about geography, remember the time in 2014 when I spent a serious few minutes trying to explain to Mr Jupin-Lude that it would be MUCH quicker to get to America from Australia if we went via the South Pole around over the top to the North Pole and thence to LA

I still have to stop and think carefully about WHY that's not the case

I mean I kind of see what you were working on here, but why did you think it would be quicker?

Well, because the North and South Poles are so close together compared with just flying in a straight line from Australia to the US...

Haven't we all have that moment? I certainly have and the boyfriend keeps saying "We've never been down this street before!" when I guide him down routes we've walked a hundred times. ;-)

Well, it certainly would be an interesting trip. I'm not sure they have a lot of international flights at either pole, though, so connections might be bad. ;)
